that's napa, sonoma, santa rosa. livermore, right around the freezing mark. fremont and concord, close to that 32-degree mark. radar is dry. cbs 5 hi-def doppler showing nothing out there. it's been that way for a week, really for the entire month. look at the rainfall for santa rosa. a foot of rain in december. now january, where did it go? a half an inch and none coming for the next five or six days, because the big ridge of high pressure we've been talking about hasn't moved. so the forecast is not going to change. the high has to move. and it's not. canada, not us, not the bay area -- if anything, it's going to move closer to us over the weekend, increasing the temperature by two to four degrees. we will stay degree. nights will stay chilly. but the afternoons are going to be mild. everybody gets into the 60's tomorrow. mainly dry pattern is going to be with us for a while. highs tomorrow, san francisco, 57 average. livermore, you're average is 56 tomorrow. and san jose, 66 tomorrow. gilroy will be warm as well. santa cruz, 70's for the second straight da

santa rosa 54. livermore 50. oakland warm at 59. concord currently 52 so we are on that climb upward towards 60 degrees. radar is clear, nothing on cbs 5 hi-def doppler. get used to that. it's going to be that way for a while. also get used to chilly nights. no more freeze warnings or frost advisories. but with clear skies, it's january, long nights, it will be chilly. fairfield at 30, 32 concord and livermore, 29 santa rosa, chilly in san francisco with a low of 43 degrees. but it's all due to a ridge of high pressure. it's not allowing any storm to get within let's say 800 or 900 miles of san francisco and the bay area. look at where the storm track is up toward juno, alaska and it's not coming anywhere close to us soon. so we are just going to monitor where that ridge of high pressure is going. right now it's just off to our west. it's attracting an east wind. it's strong, that offshore wind. as high pressure moves closer slowly the atmosphere will continue to warm up. we'll be dry and mild through the holiday weekend into next w

look at santa rosa. december, you had nearly a foot of rainfall triple the normal amount. now let's fast forward to january where you are right now. first half of the month less than one half of one inch of rainfall. so you had 20 times more rain in december than you have had in january so far. will the pattern change? the pattern with us will be with us throughout the next seven days. it's a huge bubble of high pressure. storm track stays north of the canadian border far from the bay area and with high pressure not moving we are not going to see any systems moving through until the middle of next week and even that one looks like it's going to pass by just to or north. so we stay mild and dry with high pressure the big h over my shoulder not moving much for the next several days. so watch out inland with ice around sunrise. each morning temperatures around freezing. we'll warm up throughout the day. highs in the low to mid-60s and mainly dry weather that's going to stick around for a while. san francisco welcome back to the 60s. you will get there tomorrow. average is 57.
